Japan, almost entirely surrounded by water, has historically depended upon the sea for its sustenance. The Japanese have a keen eye for recognizing the freshness of fish. At Tensuke, our trained professionals’ priority is to see that the fish that goes to your table is safe and fresh. If it’s not fresh, you won’t find it in our showcase.

SASHIMI (very fresh, raw seafood) – So fresh, you won’t believe Ohio is so far from the sea!　These delicacies are available at Tensuke at any time:

Fresh tuna (maguro), hamachi, salmon, flounder, sea urchin, squid, octopus, marinated mackerel (shimesaba), sweet shrimp and more. Until 7:00 pm daily, we offer cutting service. Please feel free to place your order with our cashiers. Just let them know how you plan to use the fish (for sashimi, sushi, handrolls, etc.) and give them your name. Try a ready-to-eat sashimi plate or a seafood salad, conveniently prepared for an individual meal.

• Salmon
The salmon arrives whole at our store. Our own chefs then cut some parts for sashimi quality, and some parts for salmon fillet. It is carefully prepared, nicely packed and placed in the showcase. This way, with minimal processing, you can taste the original freshness of the salmon. Fresh salmon fillet is a customer favorite. We also have lightly salted, frozen salmon for our customers who come from a long distance. Even the head of the salmon, which contains high amounts of collagen, is sold. No part is wasted.
