In 1990, a small Japanese grocery store was started in Columbus Ohio by four people with a big vision. It has now grown to become a well-established business in the community, known for its large selection of authentic Japanese products.

Tensuke Market includes groceries, fresh fish and vegetables and a sushi carryout window. Tensuke now features a Japanese dining area called Tensuke Express, serving udon, soba, and other "quick" Japanese foods. Customers are welcome to sit and relax and enjoy their purchases, such as sushi, in this comfortable area.

Because so many Japanese, Americans and other customers continue to experience the cleanliness of the store, the delicious food, and friendly service, Tensuke Market has developed an excellent reputation. Our customers come from towns throughout Ohio and even neighboring states.

You can choose from over 50 kinds of bento (Japanese lunch boxes) and side dishes daily! A typical bento may include salmon or teriyaki chicken with rice and some delicious sides. Sound good? It’s always guaranteed to be fresh. Rice balls (onigiri), tempura, and more are also ready for you in our showcase.
